Hello,

My name is La-Donia. This is my journey as a first time mom and how yarning over my sweet baby saved me.

My husband Michael and I had been together for 8 years and married for 2 years before we decided that our family should grow beyond our two dogs. In November 2013 we moved to Cincinnati, bought a new home and within 5 months we were pregnant. While we were thrilled, we were naive about our future with this new baby.

As a new mom in a new city with no friends or family, my first year with my sweet girl was hard. I lost my identity  in motherhood.

My sweet baby inspired me to give birth again. This time to an idea. Sweetbabybeanie was born. I found myself in making beanies for my sweet baby and for those sweet babies in need.

Sweetbabybeanie is my take on  motherhood, self discovery, and purpose.
